PARISH HALL REFURBISHMENT

As a result of the questionnaire sent to households as part of the Parish Plan, a major concern was that “something needs to be done about the Parish Hall”.

A sub-group of the Parish Hall committee is now looking at ways to do just that.

Initial ideas include:

· Enlarging the Small Hall

· Create downstairs storage facilities off the Large and Small Halls

· Create children’s toilet facilities

· Re-furbish toilets and kitchen

· Improve heating throughout

· Double glazing for windows

· Improve lighting in the Large Hall

· Lower ceiling in Large Hall

· Partitioning for Large Hall

· Upgrade flooring

· Improve Car Park and surrounds

It is a long-term project requiring professional help, self-help and grants. We will have to raise some money ourselves. The Parish Hall is a great asset that is used by many groups, organisations and individuals. In order to achieve our goals and bring about these improvements we shall need the help of everyone in the community.
